Does Taylor have a guide for setting up Quark Pages?
The Taylor YB!Pro for PageMaker CD has blank templates created in the three different trim sizes for QuarkXpress.
The YB!Pro User Guide also has a section on creating pages using QuarkXpress, starting on page 111.
How do I set up my pages if I don’t have/use the YB!Pro CD?

Not at this time.
Does Taylor have a plug-in like YB!Pro for QuarkXpress?
Not at this time.
Does Quark have something like PageMaker's Save for Service Provider for gathering files for Taylor?
Yes, use Collect for Output under the File menu.
How do you place images into a document?
Select your picture area -- Use File/Get Picture locate the picture you want to place and click Open.
What is the command for auto-page numbering?
Draw a text box for your page number on the Master page. On a Mac, use Command + 3 or on Windows use Control + 3 to set the Auto Page Number.
How do you indicate Spot Color?
Call Taylor Tech Support to get the CMYK values for the Spot Color you wish to use. Create the Spot Color and then apply it to the item(s)
on the page. Also, indicate on your printout what is to be in color and the desired color.
How do I index my pages in Quark -- I heard something about a Sonar Program?
Quark 4.0 and above has an Index Extension you can load it from your Quark application CD -- or download it from the Quark website.
There is a separate commercial plug-in called Sonar Bookends that may be purchased through Taylor’s Supply Desk.
How do I link text boxes in Quark?
After drawing the text boxes, click on the link tool. Select the first box then the second, click on the link tool. Select the second box
then the third, click the link tool and repeat steps from the third box to the fourth and so on as needed. You will see an arrow that
points to each linked text box.
I have stacked text on my page - I typed one headline on top of another. When I sent it to the back I can't see it anymore.
Check the fill of your text box to see if it's set to white and check the runaround to see if it's applied.
We are getting ready to ship our pages - what do we do?
Check your font usage, update all links and use Collect for Output to collect all the support material and documents.
Copy all collected items to a disk.
