I’m a school advisor and want to use EZ Pix, what exactly do
I need to ask my photographer for?
Ask your photographer to supply you with a digital image CD formatted
to the Professional School Photographers Association (PSPA) Digital
Image Guidelines, with images that meet the Taylor Quality Guidelines.
You can find both documents by clicking the Download link near the
top of this page.
What is the EZ Pix Proof CD, and how is it different than
the digital image CD from my school photographer?
The EZ Pix Proof CD is Taylor Publishing’s new process for
proofing student portraits and editing student data, eliminating hardcopy
directory proofs. The EZ Pix Proof CD makes it easy to view student’s
portraits and data together, and edit any way you wish. It also allows
for more sophisticated grouping and sorting. The EZ Pix Proof CD is
created from the PSPA digital image CD from the school photographer
or lab, and allows for you (the school) to send the edited database
back to your Taylor production facility along with your next page
submission.
Can Taylor recommend a school photographer who already knows
how to prepare digital image CD’s?
Yes. On the EZ Pix Download page you will find a listing of what
we call our EZ Pix Partners, participating photographers and labs
who have demonstrated ability in preparing and supplying quality digital
image CD’s. The listing is sorted by State, so it should be
easy to find one near you.
I’m a school photographer and what to learn how to prepare digital
image CD’s, where do I start?
The first thing to do is download the PSPA Digital Image Format Guidelines
and the Taylor Quality Guidelines (click the Download link near the
top of this page). These two documents are intended to be used together
to provide all the information you need to know to properly prepare
digital image CD’s. The next step is to prepare a sample digital
image CD and submit that to the Taylor EZ Pix Support group for analysis
and feedback. We’ll be able to tell you quickly if there are
any problems with formatting or quality. If you have questions preparing
your sample digital image CD, you can contact the Taylor EZ Pix Support
group. Click on the Contact Tech Support link near the top of this
page for more information.
I’m a school photographer, I’ve read through the PSPA
Guidelines and the Taylor Quality Guidelines, and we really don’t
have the technical expertise on staff to prepare these CD’s,
what can we do?
We recommend that you work with a lab that already prepares digital
image CD’s and offers this service to photographers. On the
EZ Pix Download page you will find a listing of what we call our EZ
Pix Partners, participating photographers and labs who have demonstrated
ability in preparing and supplying quality digital image CD’s.
The listing is sorted by State, so it should be easy to find one near
you. If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to
call Taylor’s EZ Pix Support group.
